Welcome! I’m Kristyna, the human behind Story Hound Creative.
If you’re wondering where the name comes from, it’s a reflection of the things that make me me. I am, quite literally, a lover of stories, a devoted hound-dog owner, and a marketing professional with over 15 years of experience dedicated to helping brands tell their stories.
My professional journey spans over a decade and a half, encompassing everything from brand strategy and social media management to content design and photography. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that the most successful brands aren’t just selling a product, they are sharing a compelling story.
I started Story Hound Creative to bridge the gap between big-picture brand strategy and the day-to-day needs of new and small businesses. My goal is simple: to help you thrive by turning your business into a story that is as unique and authentic as you are.
Roots, Routes & Chapters Along the Way
While marketing is my profession, my life is shaped by the stories and experiences that happen off the clock.
I was born in Prague and moved to the states as a pre-teen, bringing with me a bilingual perspective (Czech and English) that has always influenced how I view communication and connection. Over the years, I've moved around quite a bit, living in various places across the Upper East Coast and the Midwest, where I graduated from Purdue University. Having to adapt to new environments throughout my life has allowed me to deeply connect with people from all walks of life, something I am endlessly thankful for.
These days, I’m happily settled in the greater Omaha area with my hounds, husband and one-year-old daughter. Watching her discover the world for the first time brings a fresh wave of inspiration to everyday things, making this the most exciting chapter yet.

When the laptop closes and I'm not behind a camera lens, you can usually find me:
Chasing Hounds and a Toddler: There has almost always been a hound in my life, and between keeping up with them and my little one, my days are busy busy - with lots of drool to wipe :)
On the Ice: Yes, I play in a beer league. Hockey has long been my favorite sport, but now it's very much all about the friendships that come with it.
Lost in a Book: Reading is a constant in my life, though these days the genre has shifted to children's books! If I have any free time, I love getting lost and finding inspiration in a good book. I have even dabbled in writing along the way.
Creative Outlets & Exploration: Whether I’m painting, drawing, traveling to new places, or discovering fresh music and catching live shows, I am constantly seeking out inspiration and new ways to express creativity.
